Goat

Player Valuation: £380m
Real Madrid are preparing a £60m move for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, who is their top summer transfer target, and will pursue him in the same way they chased Cristiano Ronaldo last season.

Liverpool are set to sign Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy next week and also hope to bring in his Real Madrid team-mate Rafael van der Vaart on loan until the end of the season.

As well as Van Nistelrooy, Reds boss Rafael Benitez is poised to bring in Atletico Madrid winger Maxi Rodrigez on loan.

Tottenham are poised to make a £12m January swoop for Manchester City right-back Micah Richards, while City will bolster their defence by signing Sol Campbell on a short-term deal and spending a total of £25m on West Ham's Matthew Upson and Borussia Dortmund's Neven Subotic.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has ruled out making another bid for Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh.

Wenger is confident of beating Tottenham and Everton to sign Chamakh when he becomes a free agent in the summer after being told there is no chance of buying the Moroccan in January - but the Gunners boss is also considering buying another striker this month and is interested in Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko and Toulouse's Andre-Pierre Gignac.

Tottenham will recall midfielder Jamie O'Hara when his loan spell ends at Portsmouth this month and send him on loan to another Premier League club.

Crystal Palace must sell teenage winger Victor Moses this month to ease their financial problems and will accept £3m for the 19-year-old - who is being trailed by Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham, Arsenal, Birmingham, Wigan, Everton and West Brom.

That's what I find funny...us stuck in the middle of Spurs and Arsenal for Chamakh. HAHA like he's gonna go "yeah, Merseyside is for me".

And I bet we're not even interested anyway.

The players linked with the [Poor language removed] is bad though. They need them to get to the Champs League spot but I dont think they'll get anyone unless they sell.

Rooney to Madrid would be class! We have a sell on cluase if i remember correctly - wont happen.

Senderos on loan! Sort it!

What will be intresting is where Jack Wilshire ends up - cant wait to watch him play regularly.

I'd love to see Van Nistelrooy in a blue shirt especially as James "fit for 10 minutes/out for 12 months" Vaughan is our only "fit/available" striker. Would be perfect.

60 million for rooney?

our sell on clause i think is 25% of anything over 20 million.

so that would be 10 million if he was sold for that money.

very nice!

It would be bad for Rooneys career to go to Spain now that he is king at Old Trafford.

Fat Arry has stated he isn't buying anyone, which probably means the sly fox is after 2 or 3.

[Poor language removed], Vaughan's quality, rvn is just as injury prone, older and more expensive

I still have a old Madrid shirt from around 2000, they one they wore when they beat Valencia in the European Cup final, or was that 1998, anyway it's white, and it still fits to this day.

one thing I don't like is them going after every player under the sun to suit them, we saw this with Figo, and Zidane, even McManaman crept in there somewhere, :dodgy:, I can only imagine there's some secret people at the Bernebau (or however you spell it) building a time machine, so they can go back in time and swipe Eusebio and Best from under peoples noses.
