so he is not going anyway. What a bloody misleading thread title.

And you shouldn't have him as your first choice. his defending isn't that good, he scores goals and create chances. Jagialka was the one who was doing all the dirty job.

He was our first choice too, lads. And is better than both Distin and Yobo.

Less of the bitter ex wife act eh?

Sorry if i'm coming across as rude, I can't keep up with a firing squad this big.

Welcome , lad , but Ive gotta say , for the self proclaimed biggest club in the world - 3 titles . Uny 2 of which are Division 1 , yous don't half seem to spend a LOT of time on here .

An' me , personally . I've been (un)quoted - SKANKED by Bluemoon , A LOT .

Does that mean WE'RE BOSS ??? Aside from the whole 6 points last season , thing .

Oh , an' our post-xmas form would've left us 3rd over the season . With our miniscule , under-funded , non-chavalicious , squad .

I am not like other users here on the forums mate, i just told him the truth.

I even thought this when he was here in Everton. He always moved forward and didn't do clearing as often. Jagielka was the one that was doing all the defending and tackling.

and also, of course he was better than Yobo and Distin. that is not hard to achieve...

Like Cash said, if you're only attracting players looking to make a quick buck, and not guys who
are willing to play just because having the Man City crest on their chest makes them proud,
then whats the point?
The real top class players who are at better clubs like Barca etc...
Are not only proud to play for them, but are making 100K+ a week, so a club like city
wouldn't attract them.
The one of reasons, I think, that City is fast becoming the most hated club in England,
is because your players create the impression that they dont give a toss about trophies,
only the balance of their bank accounts...

jags was always the better cb at everton and always will be we give the clingon a chance a everton when he done his knee in at wolves then moyes made him into 1 of the best centre backs in the prem lets be fair what have city done for him other than take his football back to the championship

I dont even think Citeh's squad is that good. I've said before, Spurs look better squad and talent wise.

And also..Citeh have got to have the world record for buying players at massive fees who turn out to be flops - Jo, Robinho, Santa Cruz, Lescott, - that's about £100mill spent right there.

Erm. How'd you work that one out then?

Not to stir things up but can you honestly say none of you would've done the same thing? I'm baffled as to why you lot hate him so much. He was never a fan of Everton so say you played for a neutral club like Birmingham or Villa, then a club makes a huge bid for you who look determined to spend until they win trophies. You wouldn't want to go?

He's a good player but you got a really good price for him and that allowed you to buy 3 or 4 good players to galvanise your squad.

(He's also one of our first choice CB's so it's pretty unlikely we're forcing him out the door lads!)

Again...not to cause WW3 or anything just interested that's all.

Been discussed to death mate. I would advise the search feature. Opening this can of worms is unlikely to work in your favour.

In the Sheikh's defense mate he hasn't interfered with the playing staff at all. The only thing he can be accused of is axing Mark Hughes...best thing we did last season!

Mancini will probably assemble a team he thinks capable of winning trophies then leave them to gel long enough to play like a team. Once we have the foundations we can add slowly like the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona do, so as not to upset the balance of the squad.

Granted Chelsea won the league almost immediately but in fairness they were already a top 6 side and needed 5 or 6 top players, we have reshuffled the whole squad twice since 2006 when Thaksin took over because we were fighitng to finish mid table.

it's a pity he did turn up you had the beginning's of a great youth system there, now the kids will never get a chance

Equally, we had the Hughes and co for half a season who led us to a record 8 consecutive draws (including the likes of Burnley at home). You lot aren't the only ones who had blips in your season.

Huge difference between a blip and 12 A-squad members in the sickbay, some for more than 6 months. We NEVER could field our best starting 11 the last season since we always had at least 1-2 injuries among them. But when we got most of them back into matchfitness we only lost 2 games in 24. Beat you twice, got back to back wins against Chelsea and ManU & Arsenal only managed to draw us in the last minute at their homeground.

Also, you wrote in an earlier post that you had many followers all around the world.. well.. when a club spend big on players footballfans over the world know... they will get followers. Before that you didn't have that many fans abroad. Everton have had more of a fanbase internationally, due to the simple fact that Everton have a grander history than ManC.
