Hope Lookman gets a game. I may be deluded but I feel like he could make a huge difference to our season by adding width, pace and invention. Interested to hear other people's thoughts because I've mostly seen him play cameos here and there.

...he's what we haven't got but in the last game he started he was guilty of losing possession at times. I think this is normal for a ball player like him at his age but it might be counting against him getting more game time. He'll be inconsistent within games but he's not the type to go missing or let his head drop.

I phoned the ticket office looking for a ticket for tonight's game, the response was 'you can have the top deck of the main stand, the upper Glwadys St or the whole of the Bullens Road, any one of those sections for a tenner.

He would give us more goals, but he would also loose the ball a lot more than what is acceptable and put us under preasure, leading to goals against. In my opinion, he's not able to handle the speed of top competition yet, and needs a year out on loan where he can grow and make mistakes without it effecting our results.

Edit;
Was it against Split he strated the game, with a couple of good runs, then spent the rest of his time on the pitch passing to Split player. Split is not supposed to be opposition a player hoping to start for Everton should struggel that badly with. I feel like some of our fans are a little too blind to his weaknesess.

I was at Stoke away last season and he came on as a sub, he absolutely oozed confidence and was always looking for the ball and trying to make things happen. I had high hopes for the young lad and thought he'd be getting much more game time this season.

But against Split he was by far the worse player on the pitch. Running into blind alleys and constantly losing the ball. Looks to me as a player who needs regular game time, hope he gets it as he does offer us something different when playing well.

If I remember right, he was instrumental in the 1st half vs Split, hugged the touch-line and received numerous cross-field passes from Schneiderlin until they got wise to it and doubled up on him, even Martina was linking up well and getting beyond him.

His weakness is that he always looks to take his man (or multiple) on while crowed out on the wing, he seems pretty dangerous in central areas though (based on England/Charlton/U23 highlights I've seen). Will we ever see him in more a central role though? probably not considering how many number 10s we have.

Gonna be a frustrating player 8 times out of 10, but always looks like he can make something happen.

I’m guessing there will be no streams or live coverage of this anywhere ? Early rounds of the league cup suck for this exact reason.

Maybe some random foreign network is showing it ?

I'm finding it difficult to come up with a coherent XI to be perfectly honest.

We can't seriously be considering putting Martina at LB to cover for Baines can we?
