Not convinced he solves the problem, which is that we can’t pass the ball.

I think we need the type of 6 who always offers themselves as an easy option in front of the defenders, then stays behind the ball as an option for the rest of the midfield, keeps the play ticking over and doesn’t lose it.

This much would improve all of the players around him no end.
Agree solid player but can't see him and Doucoure/ Allan improve our passing. For me.it would be: nr 6 Gilmour/Winks type of player. nr 8: Doucs/Allan, nr 10 MGW/Gallagher type of player

I desperately want us to sign this lad. Being able to chat about how well or how poorly ‘Donks’ played makes me smile :)

While I agree that we should be going after young talented players who can step into a Premier League team and do a job, my problem is that how do you attract such players to a team that flirted with relegation last season and then sold their best player, the one who was responsible for keeping them in the league and then replaced him with a centre half on a free. Added to this you can’t point to any major changes in the hierarchy within the club that might indicate a change of approach to how things have been run. These players cost money and are looking to the future, they want to be in with a chance of competing or at least not being worried that a clause in their contract is going to kick in and reduce their wages when they get relegated. I am afraid steady eddies are the best we can hope for until we steady the ship.
I hope and pray I’m wrong and that we bring in two young hungry talented midfielders, a goal scoring forward aged 22 and a 24 year old centre half who can head a ball, tackle and step out of defence to hit pinpoint passes.
Sensible post. I'd also say that blokes like Dendoncker aren't going to want to come to a club like us in our turmoil. Why would they? Have a bad game and you become a scapegoat. Then you have to ask why would he leave Wolves?

I've been reading their forum and it seems their fans are pretty happy with how they played today. They have an evolving system and it seems they are returning to playing the attacking football they started last season with. Seems also that their squad is close knit, something I don't hear about our mob, so why would Dendoncker move from a team he is clearly comfortable with?

The only answer to that is money. And we have none.

Think most of you have nailed it on here as to what Wolves fans think - decent but not an exciting signing.

Doesn't use his size in the way he should, but physically competitive.
Okay in possession but doesn't do anything great on the ball at all.
Quite clever in terms of running into the box but finishing is poor.

Just one of those. Quite decent at most things but doesn't stand out. Probably a managers dream though as works hard, tactically knows what to do etc. but the sort who if you lose a game you can quite often say what did you actually do?

I'd be disappointed if he went purely from a numbers perspective as we are ridiculously short in midfield and he's someone who would probably feature in every game next season if he stayed, so we can't really afford to sell him.

Yet, as I mentioned with Morgan Gibbs-White, we have to sell to buy and if he can get a decent fee then virtually every fan I know would pick Dendoncker as the one to go ahead of MGW, Neves etc.

I'd say anything above £15m we're getting the better end of the deal, anything less then you've picked up a very useful player who will do a job at a decent price.

If you're skint and this is one of only a few big signings this summer I can understand why you'd be underwhelmed.

They said to judge at the end of the transfer window so something must be happening

Solid would be an improvement
