I do like a lot of old bands, those mentioned, plus The Clash, Kinks, The Who etc P) but can't say I'm a fan of Led Zep!

They were just a band like. They were good. I hope Plant never gives in to the others about a re-union. He's dead right Led Zep should stay where they are in the glorious past, if they did it again it would only be a pale imitation, that one concert was bad enough.

Luckily thats never. Cant stand them, awful band.

Sorry Teppic, although you are quite clearly blessed with a musical ear, being a Floyd fan, I can't say I'm in agreement over the merit of Led Zeppelin. They're not bad, just not great. :huh:

Went to watch Led Zep at Knebworth in 1979 when I was 19. Absolutely brilliant live. It was the last time they performed before John Bonhams death. Anyone who cant tune into these has no taste whatsoever. I feel privilaged to have seen them on stage. Got every cd and record they ever made and a few bootlegs besides. Pure class Jimmy Page was a great guitarist but the greatest of all was Hendrix. If you come across Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock on DVD buy it. This guy had it all.

can you choose between pele or maradonna for ability?

floyd are totally awesome, fantastic amazing. the quality of tunes they produced and variety makes them one of the best bands ever.

one of the most important discoveries a 14 year old boy can make (other than some secret porn stash of course~!) is pink floyd-the wall. an album to shape an attitude of survival.

but i'm not in the business of who is better. i just appreciate the tunes!!!

i feel the immigrant song turned up all the way to 11 coming!
