Went to Elland Road a few weekends back. Took the lad to watch them take on Valencia. The ground was okay, has a little bit of character, bit like Preston, but bigger.

Attendance was 32,000 odd. Atmosphere was a bit plastic, lots of 'choreographed' hand movements, songs about 'snapping' peoples legs and small time songs about Man Utd.

The stadium itself is in a crap location. 2.3 miles from the only train station, with a sketchy bus service that diverts away from the ground when there's a game. Outside the stadium there' s a 'local' shop, a subway, and that's about it other than residential suburbia.

All in all, wish I'd stayed home. The tits even managed to win.
