I really cannot see a win here. Newcastle, a team not known for a pressing game, put the fear of God into us insofar that we resorted to passing sideways and back again. Now we face a team who play with energy and a high press. Looks ominous, can see Olsen with most touches tonight.
But then maybe Carlo has lit a fire under them and they will come out firing on all cylinders. It’s a funny old game.

May as well just load our fixtures into this and generate the rest of the season

You totally lost me at Delph here lid, that muppet shouldn't be anywhere near the first team. And before you say, yes I would absolutely have both Davies and Gomes over him.
I think Delph is finished here. Looking back, he is never fit and when he has come back in after an injured spell, hes always that far off the pace that he is late on the ball and guaranteed a card so immediately stymied. I didnt want us to sign him in the first place but nevertheless hoped he'd surprise me. Hes been worse than I'd thought so another waste of money.

Fully expect Leeds to work harder and just generally want to win a lot more than our gang of wasters. For those reasons alone I'll say 1-0 to us, Richarlison.

The talk about us being in big big trouble is way over the top. We are nowhere near being in a relegation fight. The worst and probably the most likely run in until April will result in mid table finish with a mixture of decent results and bad results.

Would go

Olsen
Holgate Keane Mina Godfrey
Doucoure Delph Davies
Rodriguez DCL Richarlison

Not the sort of game for Siggurdsson or Gomes to start so Davies legs and Delph's somewhat ability to get his foot in I've chosen.
Got half a chance of a clean sheet with that team....
Not sure we’d have possession or a goal for that matter but 0-0 would be an improvement.

All I'm asking from the team is to show some spirit tonight. The word that comes to mind when I think of the Newcastle game is 'SOFT, SOFT, SOFT', just plodding about with no sense of direction, been second in every aspect of the game.

Please work as hard as I know Leeds will and take it to them from the start.

The only positive for me is that we are usually good away from home. If we are not up for it here we are in for a long night, I don’t rate Leeds that much, but they press and hassle all game which isn’t normally something we cope well with.
