The fact that our manager didn’t know he wouldn’t be available is a failure at the club level. We can make all the excuses we want but not knowing the rules isn’t ok. Weird one but still…be better

A striker has entered the building and as long as his leg doesn't suddenly drop off as he jumps on the Everton coach Tuesday morning, Maupay should be straight into the starting 11 with his snidey little ferret like snidiness. I'm calling it now, he scores a brace and he'll be the signing of the season. If he doesn't score and we lose he can get in the ever expanding Everton dustbin along with Mcneil!!!

Gotta say, I'm not a fan of 3 at the back, we are short in the middle of the park, Mykolenko is offering nothing going forward as it's not his game and I'm still not seeing that attacking aggression from Patterson enough.

Yesterday I found myself screaming at Lampard to make changes "MAKE CHANGES FFS"...then on the touchline there was Davies and Rondon about to come on "FFS DON'T MAKE CHANGES!!!!". His hands really are tied to some utter utter crap in this squad and I'm hoping as I write this Thelwell is working on about 5 deals as these next few days are crucial.

Lampard not happy with the league at all.

Needs to look a bit closer to home, if they wanted Maupay it should have been done weeks ago! As it was left as late as it was the admin at Everton should have known exactly what the registration rules were and what the timings are bank holiday or not!

Frank Lampard has revealed why Neal Maupay is absent for Everton against LeedsUnited tonight.

By the time Maupay was registered with the Premier League, it was too late to be involved in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Brentford.

However, because of the Bank Holiday weekend, Maupay - through no fault of his own - did not meet Premier League requirements to feature at Leeds.

Speaking to BT Sport ahead of the Elland Road clash, Lampard said: “We registered Neal on Friday afternoon at 4pm but the Premier Leeague have not been able to register him.

“There must be one working day to be registered. We’ve managed to get three non-working days, four days of him being our player and I wish I had the non-working days the Premier League had because it’s amazing we can’t register him - but I’ll explain more later.”

It’s a dumb rule - but the world is full of dumb rules.

The club should’ve known about this.
