I dont get this at all mate, i have completly the opposite attitude, whats going on there and to a lesser extent at Spurs leaves me woth nothing but a sense of hope for Everton.
Leicester are challenging and breaking the template, of money pumped clubs making the league a foregone conclussion every year. They are doing it on beleif, spirit and a team of good professional players who are hungry. We complained about the glass ceiling for years, always stuck on fifth nhever being able to gt over the line of CL. We never beleived we could and our excuse, was a small squad and no money. Leicester are challenging that notion and mentality, which for me is giving professional football/ers in this country a kick in the mid-region, if they do it all fans around the country should be given hope and expect nothing less then what Leicster are doing - because that now is the standard. It gives me hope.
When you look at it how have past relatively successful Everton teams of the last ten years been any different, except they didnt have the mentality to do it. We have had similar sized squads and players of similar quality.
Schmeichel<Howard
Simpson<Coleman
Morgan<Distin
Huth<Jags
Fuchs<Baines
Kante<Carsley/Neville
Drinkwater<Fellaini
Mahrez<Arteta
Vardy<Johnson
Allbrighton<Pienaar
Okasaki<Cahill.
Some the stories in that team are wonderful, Huth, Simpson, Drinkwater all binned from PL champion clubs - they want it, hungry players that have proven the template and money in the game doesnt dictate success, insted of being jeleous we need to look at what we can learn and take from Leicester and Spurs are doing, wringing every bit of talent out of their squads, coaching every player to their maximum and saying it can be done and believing it can be done - we are light years behind this given we have immense quality but cant coach it out of them, we deserve and should be doing better, but this is the pathway we must follow.
All bets are off now and excuses dont wash because Leicester and Spurs have proven it can be done a different way. I wish both of them luck and am enjoying it for what it means for football broadly, Everton and the mentailty of the game.
I hope Leicseter do it, but to a smaller extent even if Spurs do it its a victory for football.
