I never bet on Everton, but I decided a few weeks ago to back us at Leicester. Just a feeling I had and I've still got it.

They may or may not need a result - I hope they do -and even though we've gone seriously downhill, I'm still going to do it.

I know it's a contradiction, but I hope Leicester do win the league.

BTW, did you hear Martin Tyler say during the Leicester - Swansea match that tickets for the Everton match are going for

There's 7 teams out of 19 who have a better away record than us. It's better than our home record, like, but we're still not exactly barcelona.

So we wouldn't be top 4 if we had repeated our away performances at home as I was led to believe?

Aye, they use this 'magic number' concept these days, it's not about how many points Leicester need to get, but a combination of Leicester gaining points and Spurs dropping them. After the Swansea game the magic number was 5. Spurs just dropped 2 leaving the magic number now at 3. That could be Leicester winning a game, Spurs losing one, or any number of draws.

Granted spurs may not win their game either but everyone expecting them to win the league this week are probably going to be disappointed. If vardy played then i might have thought otherwise.

Neither were they.

It's because this season is a ridiculous one off that people want them to win it. I don't think anyone actively wants Leicester to go on a 20 year streak of domestic domination like Fergie's United. It's our own fault we're not up there competing a bit more this season, more specifically our manager's
