Nice article.Good article by Lineker describing the joy and wonder of their title run
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/mar/13/gary-lineker-leicester-city-premier-league-title
I think they'll fall short. Their last three games of the season... United away, us home, Chelsea away. Let's see if Newcastle can avoid defeat Monday night under Benitez... think that's the killer for Leicester if they don't win that.
Then onto strikers... Vardy's run is well and truly over... 4 goals in his past 10 games, compared to Kane with 8 in last 10 league games. That momentum will lead to Spurs taking the title I think.
Leicester probably the best achievement of any team in the Premier League ever to come in second, and Arsenal third with fourth up for grabs, I think even West Ham could poach it, but hopefully go out of the CL in the final qualifying round. lol
Just hope that, by winning the league, Leicester or Spurs don't go on to get major, major investment and pull away from Everton... that's my only fear with one of them winning the league, but it would be good for a non-fancied team to win it for once and good luck to them.
Great post! Spot on about Vardy tooVardy is scoring less because most of the lower tiered sides are so scared of the counter that they are just seceding possession to LC and when teams are sitting back Raneri platoons him way out wide to open up space for the others. He's also playing quite well out there when he has to do it.
I really think they've been incredibly impressive the past 1-2 months because they have proven that they are much more than a one-trick counterattacking side. Teams that are setting up 9 back are getting torn up Marhez, Drinkwater etal. are cutting defenses apart. Plus even if you manage to stop those guys then you got to deal with Huth and Morgan on corners. Its really a complete side. On form they have the best striker, the best attacking mid, the best CM pairing, a top 3-5 CB pairing plus a very good keeper.
All the extra money that LC gets will probably go to paying their own players. They'll still have less than Spurs and Liverpool.
Hope so. If they come at us it should be comfortableI think with Norwich claiming an unlikely point against City, and the derby next week, Newcastle have to be looking for 3 points tonight. Can't see them parking the bus.
Leicester are just taking the piss at this point.
Someone needs to take a look at their piss I think.
So cynical. But probs worth a check.
