Don't you understand dandydan's post. Sky have w*anked themselves silly in recent years over ManUre, Chelski, Arse, Man Clitty and the Red Sh1te. To see another team outside of those five winning it is a breath of fresh air, evn if it isn't us...

I understand it fully, I disagree with it because to me all the teams competing against Everton are the opposition, simply that, the opposition. I don't feel that Leicester City are any less opposition than the team's you mention.

I don't think you do.

Or you choose to ignore the point.

Or you don't see the point of none of the 'Sky 5' winning the title for a change being hilarious...

I don't see the point, I understand it fully but I don't accept there is a hierarchy of teams which I prefer to see beating Everton. I don't want anybody to beat Everton even if it amuses certain sections of our support. I don't take comfort from in someone else getting beaten, I don't feel better about our capitulation yesterday because Liverpool were beaten today. I want Everton to win, I don't care who comes second.

No further point in trying to explain. It completely escapes you...

Well I did explain things more than once...

You didn't explain anything, you told me anyone outside a group of teams winning the league was " a breath of fresh air", then you told me I ignored or didn't understand a point. Telling me I am wrong falls far short of an explanation.
The point is that it is preferable that a "lesser" team wins the league in order to snub Sky TV. The outworking of this kind of thinking is that you, as an Evertonians, would take pleasure in teams other than Everton winning the league provided they were not one of Skys favoured few.

If my synopsis is wrong, I'll defer to your greater intellect.

Let me explain, so I hope you can see where I'm coming from.

1. I would dearly like to see Everton win the top flight title again. That is not in question. I have witnessed it four times in my life: 62/3; 69/70; 84/5 & 86/7.

2. If Everton are not in a position to win it (which we are not this season), I will be delighted to see a team win it that is not in what is perceived as the 'Sky 5' (which teams I have mentioned in a previous post). The perception being that Sky fawn over those teams to an unbearable degree.

3. So, I will be pleased, in the absence of Everton winning the title, to see Leicester or Spurs finishing top this season. To break the mould of the same 2-3 teams winning it season after season, in the manner that the Scottish top flight title was either Celtic or Rangers almost ad infinitum.

I apologise if my previous posts did not make the above sufficently clear. I should have set things out from the outset as I have done so above.

Much better for us if leicester win it.

if spurs win then they can attract better players...happy leicester get champs league also as it puts one of the media darlings out
