He's onto a winner Rodgers, great club, money to spend, players love him, fans love him..... Yes if you double my wages I'll be there by this afternoon Mr Moshiri.

Being serious I don't think he would leave Leicester for Everton mate as things stand. He's doing a great job at Leicester and would be a complete tit to give that up to come and join our circus
lol

Rodgers seems more driven by ego than money imo. Could be wrong. And Arsenal are just as much of a mess at the moment

Replacing Vardy seems almost impossible to be honest. Thought Iheanacho would be a shrewd signing but..... Not so much. It would be interesting to find out how much of a lure a clubs history is to attracting managers. I get the ambition argument but this isn't the Arsenal of old we're talking about. I reckon that's a 5 year project at the very least to get them anywhere close to competing for the title. And as we know you don't get 5 years as a manger anymore with some instant success

Vardy could have gone elsewhere and have done nothing (I dont think he would have). A Bizzare (and great story) of a player coming from non-league really. Sometimes a football player just clicks when he's at a club. Vardy and Leicester have done exactly that. Would have loved Vardy a couple of years ago, guaranteed goals, has pace, is a nightmare for defenders to contend with.

But alas, why go for Vardy when you've lost your best striker this decade in Lukaku and have Dominic Calvert-Lewin in reserve.

I'm expecting a defeat but what I want to see is at least a plan, effort, desire, something where at the end of the match we all go "well we could see what they were trying to implement"

What I don't want to see is a timid, nervous, heartless, gutless performance and a 4-0/5-0 drubbing.

Kean to start, scores 9 goals to get him up and running for the season.

Leicester 10-9 Everton

The only way you get to keep a job past 18 months is perceived success, long term strategy means nothing. With us, we’ve still got so much dead wood to remove and would need a good three or four windows to turn our team around. A manager taking on our job would need to be confident in mounting at least a top 6 challenge with mostly the players we have now to be bought time to actually build a good team and I don’t know who is backing themselves to do that right now!

We have been very lucky to have him. Mad to think he nearly gave up during his first season with us. Best thing Pearson ever did was convincing him he had what it takes

And then you have the problem that the new manager doesn't fancy some of the players from the previous regime and so the cycle continues

Big club, might be hard to turn down but on the flip side I don't think he'd be given an awful lot of time. Judging by what their board said, they seem to think they are more than good enough to be right up there which is blatantly not true.
If somebody could get it right there it could be an amazing job but it's a hell of a task and as you say he wouldn't get much time

As can be seen from what happened with Celtic, he’ll be off like a shot the moment a “ bigger “ club flashes its draws at him.

It’s all about him, nothing else.

Hence why he’s not exactly discouraging the rumours in the press.

He’s still smarting over getting the boot from the RS and that’s never left him.

You could well be right. Although it's fair to say we're not a bigger club than Celtic. Smaller than Celtic reserves if you listen to Chris Sutton

lol The understatement of the century mate.

Has he unveiled this beauty at King Power Stadium yet:

Celtic are larger in fan numbers and they do have some caliber and pedigree in Europe, but the Scottish League is on par with Sunday league football.

The offer of Premier League football and a fairly talented squad would always draw him back, but it also goes to offers from other clubs: status and money talk.
