If we go at these the way we went fter Newcastle in that first half they will buckle. But we do need Dyche to be ruthless and tell one of his midfielders to take one for the team and put Maddison in a stretcher if he plays.

I don't see it mate. It will be safety first from Dyche, sit back and let them have all the ball and hope we nick one from a set - piece. It wouldn't surprise me if Dyche doesn't see a point from the game as a good result.

I agree with you mate, was just saying what I thought we should do. I don't even see us trying to win games at the moment we seem to be setting up for draws then hoping we might get an odd set piece to get lucky.

I said to my dad after the Newcastle game that the cruelest thing to happen now would be us getting a glimmer of hope we can stay up, for then Everton to do what they do and go and let you down. These results over the weekend have given us hope again, but the game tonight I have very little confidence we can win so I’m trying to not buy into the hope, as we all know, it’s the hope that kill you.

I can confirm. If they go one down, the crowd go silent. The players do have the capacity to come back into games from being behind and the crowd see the effort and wake up for a last 10 mins bit of gentle shouting. But the crowd very rarely drag the players back into a game, it’s always the other way around.
