I've watched a different game to you.

9 shots inside 20 mins
Their keeper MOM
Fighting like they did not under Lampard
Deserved to win

That was anything but abysmal. It's in our hands - play like that in each of the next 4 games and we are anything but done.

I agree they aren't going to get much in-game help from Dyche, though.
Honestly, now:

How many times already under Dyche have we had the “if we play like that in our remaining games…” reaction?

We deserved to win, but we didn’t. Just like Spurs, Forest, arguably Palace, etc.

In the short time he’s been here, the “drawing games we should have won” thing has already happened too often for it to be pure bad luck. Crunch time comes in these games and he freezes. Again, this is the man who, in the absence of any tactical sophistication or anything else that might get us playing good football, is supposed to bring the blood and thunder.

Your point is actually an excellent one - First 20 mins we had a fire under us. What about the last 20? Created a few chances, absolutely; what chance we finish at least one of those with Gray and/or even Simms on the pitch? The potential upside far outweighs any realistic downside and yet he is STILL too scared to make a move.

If you’re a manager who has been brought in to firefight a relegation scenario the one thing you categorically cannot be is meek. That’s exactly what he is. Didn’t want him before, gave him a chance, but from what I’ve seen I don’t want him anywhere near us next year regardless of what league we’re in.

Sorry for the rant. Didn’t intend it to go that way when I started replying!!

Played better tonight and it was an even game but it all seems a bit too little, too late now. A point isn’t enough anymore.

The lowest points ever needed for safety was 34 points (West Brom in 2013/14). We still need 5 to get to that level.

We probably need at least 6.

Hard to see us getting anything against Brighton away (chasing European places) and Man City (chasing the title). Wolves away will be tough but we can get something there. Have to beat Bournemouth at home on last day.

🤞🤞🤞🤞
This season is that tight at the bottom 32/33 points could stay up.

Not seen a season like this.

We all know we know better than the manager. Our main concerns recently have been Godfrey and Keane and with Coleman back at least we have seen the back of Godfrey. Question now is it looks like Coleman is done for the season so who does he trust. Gotta be Patterson for me as Godfrey is awful. The biggest question is do we persist with Keane or do we bring in Mina or Coady?? Both read the game better than Keane (IMO) and I look at Coady more as a sweeper and reader of the game than being a tackler or a arial defensive type. No way would have Coady allowed Vardy to sit on his shoulder and have the extra yard every time

After the Lewin miss and Coleman going off you feared the rot would set in as per usual. Instead a penalty save and then a spirited 2nd half performance and Leicester were hanging on at the end.

Very encouraging but just hope it's not too late.

Fair points and well made.

None of us expected that performance after Fulham and Newcastle - and it ain't over because of it. Leeds look gone to me - easily see them not winning another game.

IMO it's likely us, Forest and Leicester for the final spot. Winning six games in 34 is disgusting but I think Forest, Leeds, Leicester will look at our performance today and be worried.

Completely agree about Dyche. He's not long term - he's shown that already.
