Whether we like it or not, this season is all about finding blends and a formula that works with the mixed bag of players that have been recruited by numerous managers.

We are still trying to find the right mix and still have 2 players yet to kick a ball.

Frustrating, but this season is all about experimenting and bedding in.

The front 4, if they can click could be fantastic. Here's hoping.

hahahahah, and Schneiderlin has!?

Davies has played well v Fulham and Arsenal. He works well with Gana. He stays in until Gomes is fit.
Never mentioned Schneiderlin at all, so not sure why you added that. Gomes oh yes really, the guy has been nowhere near fit, not even sure if he can hack it in the premier league yet.

Davies has done nothing to warrant a stating place, he looks totally out of form at the moment.
I can pretty much agree with that but that doesn't really answer the question of who else should play? Because Schneiderlin has been objectively worse and at least Davies let's Gueye play his game.

Don't know what people don't get about this.

He's 4th choice captain. 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice are injured. Therefore he's captain. There aren't any leaders in that team as is and also it doesn't take an armband to be a leader. Proper stupid thing to get annoyed about as it means nothing.

Exactly.

And I for one am made up to see one of our own fulfilling the dream we must all have dreamt at one stage in our lives.

Skippering our beloved team and leading an Everton XI out onto the pitch.

Delighted for young Tom and I am sure his Uncle Alan will be well proud.

Congratulations, Tom Davies :)

Bernard is defo going to have to put a full shift in.

a team like ours needs all players digging in and doing a job, including getting back if digne is up past him.

we could be exposed down our left flank if Bernard doesn't do the hard slog

Couldn't agree more mate, I'm sure it means a lot more to him than the others and also, despite what everyone says, he does seem to play better with the armband on imo.
