To have won that without Allan for 50+ mins, Digne, James and Coleman plus the other injuries is a great effort and shows a level of quality in depth I didn't know we had. It's even more impressive when you add in the Chelsea win. Leicester weren't 100% either, with Evans out and N'Didi at centre half, but we were comfortably the more weakened outfit.

A lot of credit has to go to the manager though. As much as we were forced to play this back 4, it was his call to pick the players he has and prepare them. It seems he's a manager who isn't afraid to play dirty to get out of a rut. A manager with a viable and effective plan B.

Doucoure was incredible and walked MOTM for me. Amazing effort to cover for the traffic cone out of possession that is Andre Gomes. Somehow covered both full backs, dropped in to centre back, pinched balls in the middle and even managed to get forward as well. 10/10.

Special mentions to Sigurdsson, who I thought put in a big shift and was intelligent and excellent on the ball at all the crucial times, which was invaluable. Iwobi, who I'll admit I didn't see this level of performance in previously and the centre backs, Keane and Mina, who dealt with Vardy brilliantly.

Leicester are a good side. Besides Vardy, I really like Barnes and N'Didi. I really do quite enjoy playing Maddison though. Loves to give in to his ego and try something that is never, ever going to come off right as the pressure's building and let you have a breather. Luxury player a lot of the time. Not really a fan.

Just woke up and seen the result...well in Everton!...and congrats to the staff member who has attended to the pandemic of homesickness (aka Potty Syndrome) by tweaking the menu options at the FF cafeteria.

Very good win, this.
3 points that keeps us firmly in the mix and taken from one of the teams whom we'll likely be fighting for a European place at the end of the season.

For me, best result of the season that. Maybe not performance, but result wise, with key players out, away from home against a team looking to go top (for the second time in a matter of days), that was just boss. And two clean sheets too.

The only downside of the week is that we’ve lost out on Allardyce. And to a lesser extent, Allan’s injury.
:D

Brilliant result, before we played Chelsea I didn't think we would get anything from this. We looked very good at the back. I know we scored too, but I do feel for dom at times, he has very little help in the final 3rd. It would be great if we could get someone with more pace than Siggurdsson to play behind him. I thought the goalie did well when called upon and VAR got the decisions right. Amazon Prime was rubbish though the Audio was 20 seconds behind on my 200mb broadband, for the entire game, it seems to be the way for all but one of the games I've watched on Prime so far. I prefer the analysis on Prime though not sure if it's just because it's different voices than the usual Sky and BT kopite meffs.
