Leicester-The Worst Reigning Champions Ever?

What is this high intensity pressing game that foxes keep talking about?? It blatantly wasn't - it was keep compact at the back and hit on the break from every game I watched? Exactly the same against Liverpool, who played into your hands by holding a high line.

That might have been what it was like with 30 or so to go. But the difference in pressing was huge compared to previous games.

Only time we've been allowed to press of late was Seville... where for some reason the tactic was for the front two to press and everyone else sit back. Which made it piss easy for them as all it did was take two people out of the game. The tactic was roundly slated by all the comms team and those in the studio.

But you know, you're the Leicester expert and not the people watching week in week out.

Woy take your fancy mate?

Sigh... I don't think he'd be an awful short term appointment. But when your reaction to someone is a big sigh and a wince I'm not sure you want them long term.

Personally, someone like Dyche would fit this club like a glove.

How's everyone getting on with Walsh now? I remember there being quite a few question marks about him last time I was on here.

I share your *sigh* on Woy. Terribly boring move.

Walsh has pleasantly surprised us. As far as we know, he targeted Gana, and Lookman. One ace, one for the future. But as you well know, when things are going well, and everyone sees a developing team with potential, everyone gets a slighter easier pass than when things get sticky.

As every football fan of every club always says, "The next window is MASSIVE" Rinse and repeat.

Yeah he wanted Gana here, got overruled though and we paid twice the money for a Ranieri target who is crap.

Pretty much like last summer when Ranieri wanted Mendy then and it took a rejected bid for Walsh to be able to convince him Kante is the one we should be going for.

Obviously a good move for him, but I think not having the managers trust after all he'd done for us was a big reason behind going.

No doubt we'll now see all our old links rocking up at your place and being regularly brilliant and continue to kick ourselves that people didn't appreciate him!

It seems, so far anyrate, that the relationship between him, Koeman, and also importantly, Dave Unsworth, (U23 Coach) is pretty good. We have a cracking group of players under Unsworth, (Exhibit A, Tom Davies), and a few are knocking on the door.

Not claiming to be an expert mate, simply saying it as I saw it.

Are there any stats showing how many goals were scored on the counter last season? That seemed to be your (very effective) plan A. Don't go spitting your dummy out - we were all warm to your lot before you did the dirty on your boss.

Somewhere I'd imagine. It wasn't quite plan A, it sort of became that way as the season went on.

It's so hard to get across how things transitioned from Pearson to Ranieri and then to now.

It started off incredibly attacking during the great escape and carried on that way during the start of last year.

As the season went on it became more and more defensive. So it went from attacking, to a perfect happy medium, to ridiculously deep and negative.

We sort of reached that point at the time people started taking notice and we were bumbling to 1-0 wins every week.

We started this season how we mostly finished last, deep and negative. Yes wee used to counter but it was often from a higher position. This season we're so deep it's much further to goal when you win it back.

Had to describe what went onto a non football fan the other day and this was the best I could explain it.

Pearson was the chef, he sourced, bought and chopped all the ingredidnts. He started cooking and what he made was bloody good but just missing something.

Ranieri came along and added some seasoning (defensive tactics, removing pressure with with press conferences)... and for that moment it was an absolutely perfect combination.

The problem was he kept chucking salt on the pot and it became an idedible mess!!

Stupid I know... but it gets the point across I think. For a short moment in time we had perfection thanks to so many people from the owners to Pearson and Walsh and Ranieri.

Explains the wealth of 1-0 wins you got, sit back and soak it up then dink over the top for Vardy to get.

Reckon a load of them was when Vardy was out for a while and they just seemed to keep going. A remarkable season amyrate.

Absolutely mate, not knocking their achievements at all - like Stoke and their anti-football, all the way back to the Crazy gang, there's more than 1 way to play football. They found a way, everybody had cottoned on too late and the league was won.

The only issue I have with Leicester is the way Ranieri was 'disposed' of... Seville Daniel please, Seville.
