FFS, are we serious about every getting back to the top? Would any CL spot chasing club be seriously contemplating making do and mend in a postion or would they be looking to have class in strength in every position?

It's true there's no time for sentimentality in top flight football. But you must understand the critical role Baines played in exposing Martinez' fraudulent regime to the fanbase - so it is understandable that Blues want the best for Leighton Baines. We could so easily be kicking off next Saturday against Lincoln City if Baines hadn't stood up for the integrity of the club and forced Roberto Wormtongue out.
