Baines is officially finished. At his prime he was a 8/10 left back for me on a regular basis, but now he's a 4/10 left back who desperately needs replacing, even if he returns to the first team. Should be released in the summer and a new first team left back brought in plus a left footer centre back who could cover in an emergency.
Baines must be thinking if we don't sign a left back in the next 2 weeks that he is straight back in the team when (if) he gets fit.
He's been out for best part of 2 months now. And no word from the club when they expect his return to fitness.

He's better than Martina, straight back in when fit, he can't be far off now.
I don't share the view he's finished, he can still do a job till the end of the season for us, you can't write him off because he was poor in a few games early this season, the whole defence was a disgrace shipping 2 goals a game.

Biggest issue of "he is still better than Martina" is that he could be injured again right after and then we are STILL stuck with Martina.
Yes he could definitely play until the end of the season (when or if fit). He'll come straight back in if we don't sign anyone this month. But, beyond that we need to replace him for sure.

Well he's been here since 2007, that is 11 years.
It's pretty loyal, i would say.
My knowledge of him, is not that detailed though.

He didn't make a fuss when Moyes tried to unsettle him and take him with Fellaini.
He has been super loyal and a great servant to this club, one of my fav players of the last 10 years.
