The thing is though mate, you tried to counter my point, by claiming Phil Neville was not a great player, by using the argument that I'd used to claim Osman is not an awful player.

Then you started talking about offering Osman a new deal, which was totally irrelevant to the discussion.

I like him, has loads of good games, great quality about him, good turn, first touch etc.. Just a bit lightweight and can lose the ball easier than anyone else on the pitch. That's not ideal for a CM, but as long as he's passing he ball on quickly like he does, it doesn't matter too much.
Its later on when his legs are a bit slower and his brains not reacting so well that he takes that extra touch and players close him down, then he becomes a noticeably poorer player imo.

So your saying he can not be a bad player because he's made over 390 app for a top 6 side
I'm saying that's irrelevant and used Neville as an example of a poor player who's made a shed load of app for both us and Utd, I could have used Nicky Butt as an example

How does he make me look like a proper Charlie? He's been crap this season in most parts, you only have to read through match threads to see the amount of posters who weep when the lads picked in the starting eleven
