Hang on - you're defending Howard now? How is that relevant here? I think Howard has dropped off a cliff in terms of his performances the last season or so. Yet he's still a regular in the team. Osman isn't a regular and does a decent job when needed.

Osman did a solid job for us for over a decade in a team that restored a bit of pride after the Walter/Walker years. He never kicked up a fuss and didn't milk it the way the likes of Cahill did. For that he has my respect until I know more.

Really? I think Osman is okay and doesn't deserve such abuse. I think Barkley is good but not £30m+ class. I think Howard should be shipped out and replayed by Robles. I respected what Cahill did for us when he was here but would never class him as a legend as do some. Feel free to disagree. We can debate ladies in the relevant thread

But Osman doesn't put himself out there with arrogant quotes like Howard does nor does he have a go at fans. Likewise Osman isn't a regular any more but Howard is so I can be more critical of his performance levels. There's quite a difference for a start.

He was proper comical when he came on yesterday. I'd keep him next season if only for a cheap laugh to throw him on in games when we're 3 or 4-0 up and watch him dodder around like a little old man and fall over. That's the only circumstance that he'd enter the football pitch though

Leon Osman has been a terrific servant for this club,and without doubt deserves more respect than some are giving him within this thread,I've no doubt he will go at the end of the season and may well choose to play elsewhere, I for one would welcome him back as a coach in the future I think he would be good with youngsters where his enthusiasm and love for our club would be an example to follow,check his expression above 100% blue.
