Leroy Fer

Also. Does this not mean we won't have the money to bring in anyone else? That's what worries me most. Other areas need addressing. We needed a #10, although I suppose we could now see Osman pushed up there. I am worried he will be in the Fellaini mould of hefty meathead but lacking creativity, vision, awareness, range of passing e.t.c

IF we do sign this guy (fingers crossed) I reckon we actually have a decent song for him. His name is Leroy for christ sake, the options are endless.

*Looks on youtube for ideas*

If he turns out to be as influential as Felli then he'll have been a massive success.

btw he's got pace & is an attacking midfield player.

I'm a Feyenoord fan so I can tell you a bit more on Leroy Fer. Fer will be a top class signing for Everton. He's had a few injury problems this year but he is pretty much unmissable for FC Twente. I can only guess that Everton have triggered an automatic release clause because he is worth a lot more.

Most Feyenoord fans are pissed off with him because he abandoned our club last year when things were not going too well. He is called ''Ferrader'' which means ''traitor''. Luckily for us we finished 2nd last season and FC Twente 7th so he was a huge scapegoat yesterday when Feyenoord played FC Twente in Rotterdam. Fer was really disappointed after the game with the songs but didn't let that affect his performance as he was one of the best players on the pitch.

He is very similar to Fellaini in most football aspects. The only difference is that Fer is two footed and that Fellaini is a lot stronger in the air (especially at attacking headers). Fer is a real box-to-box player and would fit in perfectly behind Fellaini in a CM role.

Eredivisie stats:
2007/08 Feyenoord 13 1 Eredivisie
2008/09 Feyenoord 32 6 Eredivisie
2009/10 Feyenoord 31 2 Eredivisie
2010/11 Feyenoord 23 3 Eredivisie
2011/12 Feyenoord 4 2 Eredivisie
2011/12 FC Twente 26 8 Eredivisie
2012/13 FC Twente 12 3 Eredivisie
Total: 141 25

He's a bit of an air-head off the pitch but he's got good temperament on the pitch (apart from warming-up in Uggs..see pic below)

We are paying very little upfront, the rest will be paid over installments
We can do the same with another player or 2, it's all about the right players being available by their teams with the option of "pay a million now and the rest over monthly installments"

"Fer he's a jolly good fellow" requires about as much effort as anything else that makes it past the first two lines. Bit naff like.
