How could mclaren honestly put Sol Campbell before Lescott? Surely as a new england manager he should build for the future, not bring in players past their best.

Spot on Monty, how can Campbell be preferred to Lescott, just down to McLaren's keeping faith with old guard. If he does play, hope he comes through unscathed and a credit to himself. Very deserved not just on this season but he was playing well last season.

mclaren won't last the year.

god, i've really gone off england. the 2002 w/c i was mad for it and even the 2004 euro's. the 2006 w/c with all the [Poor language removed] on the pitch and the [Poor language removed] from the wags turned me right off them.

i want england to qualify, but i'm not that arsed. a few peeps i've spoken to seem to feel the same way. perhaps if the blue boys get in the team i'll take more of an interest.
