Good Morning fellow blues! I had to do a comedy double take when i saw our points total this morning. What is this strange new feeling i have? The sun seems to be shining just a little bit brighter and the birds are a tiny bit more melodious in their singing. Can't figure out why. Feel like i should have a drink but there;e no booze left in the house!

Great shout. I love him, can't get enough of a defender who gets booked every game he plays in and becomes instantly neutered as a result.

Yeah, who needs D*ck van Dyke when they've just signed Rip Van Winkle? Played as if he was half asleep too, absolutely clueless with no idea what was going on all around him.

Are we meant to say Richard van Dyke??????

How stupid is this now getting???

It’s a great feeling alright. Im still pinching myself.

interestingly, I think the game was quite similar to the City game In mane respects. We set out to defend and hit on the break. Liverpool actually had slightly more posession than City if you can believe it. They also had the same number of shots and shots on target.

It was a great defensive display, but I think there We’re two big differences Between this game and the City game. City were more ruthless and scored an absolute worldie, Liverpool had chances but didn’t take them.

DCL made a big difference to us and gave us an outlet at a time when the pressure was building. Him coming on gave us a counter attacking threat that changed the flow of the game.

Finally, I was delighted that we didn’t pass out from the back. instead we looked for fast balls forward to Richie and DCL. We looked menacing whenever we did that.

, Completely the same. Started few months before 95 FA Cup final, and always, but I mean always hear question why Everton.
My Everton journey started a bit earlier, a few months before the '68 FA Cup Final. I was the only Everton supporter I knew for decades. But we turn up everywhere. Saw a young bloke out running not long ago wearing an Everton shirt. And my Everton beanie often starts a conversation along the "Why Everton?" line. A bloke I know had a mate who was a Blue from Liverpool who had died, so my beanie was there as part of the funeral. We are family.

You gave me an idea. If you ever see someone wearing t-shirt with "Why Everton?", you'll know who is it.

Hear hear! Like I get the question, I'd ask the same if someone supported Stoke or some Championship team. I think of all the teams that have stayed in the prem since it started, they've had the least success so the answer can't be Everton play great football or won things.

Just one of those things, picking a team when I'm young, don't know how sports works, didn't know that the good teams continually stay at the top for a reason, money, power and all that. I didn't know those things at 15. You think things will turn around.

Brilliant result, superb performances from the team. I thought Pickford was M O M but in reality they all deserve it.
i am also feeling really sorry to all those doom and gloom posters who predicted Armageddon etc. Everton let you down again!
