well, tomorrow's the day guys.
sitting here with a glass of wine, feeling a bit down in the dumps. Been out for a nice walk, had a special treat for tea (the dogs, not me) and now all snoozing around the fire.
Keep all of your fingers and toes crossed for the op tomorrow. (y)
Please.

I hope it all works out, keep reminding yourself of the vet's optimistic diagnosis, you're bound to worrying yourself sick right now and no one can make that trepidation and worry go away with mere words, but we're all wishing for the best outcome. Chin up Welsh chops :)

Good luck for tomorrow, Bluelass. And especially good luck to the dog! (y)

fingers crossed, all has gone well although the surgery has been a little more extensive than they had thought. They didn't want to leave any margin for error. Well, she'll be in Leahurst until next Monday or Tuesday. The place is a bit quiet without her. I think the other dogs sense something because I havent had a peep out of them all evening.
Thanks again guys for all of your support, it means a lot to me.(y)

Think everyone who has a pet can understand what you're going through. Have a little pug dog of my own and always feel really sick myself, when he's feeling ill or not feeling comfortably. Once he had a hernia and he was afraid to lie down. He was clearly in pain but didn't show that by squeeking. All he did was standing in front of me and look at me with his big round eyes, as if he was asking: "please make it go away." Had to happen on a damn Sunday night aswell, so just gave him some painkillers. Slept on the couch and he was walking around the table for the whole of the night. Luckely he fully recovered and hasn't had a reacurrance up to date.

So once again, good luck and hope everything turns out well.

Everything will be fine with Penny, you'll see !

I remember when my dog was as lean as her, my dog just keeps growing in the wrong direction.

thanks for asking Dutch. Fingers crossed, touching wood and all that...she's doing okay.

well, she's eating, she's been for a few short walks and she's even wagged her tail a few times, so the vet tells me.
She's still on pain relief though:(
We won't know for sure the outcome of the surgical biopsy for several weeks as they have to decalcify the bone sample before they can test it. So, a very nervy few weeks/months to come.

The vet also said that she's very well behaved - hmmmm, I wonder if it's MY dog they're talking about. If she were human she'd be a stroppy teenager!

My nerves are shredded - I couldnt watch the match this afternoon after Stoke scored their first, I had to go out and mow the lawn.
Someone pass me the Rescue Remedy!
