So just reading back and also looking at the Lille website you can't buy tickets from the UK. I see they have a package for all 3 europa games but not just the Everton game on there yet, is anyone able to figure out when the tickets come out? it's just that my housemate is in France on holiday next week 6-14 sep so I'm hoping they are available by then & I can get her to buy them when she's out there

Tomorrow apparently mate.

@JimEFC

What are the best football bars and are they near the stadium?
Also, can you buy tickets on the gate for the home end?

Thirdly, if I wear my everton shirt in the home end will I get beaten up?

Thank you, great thread this!!

Hi, and thanks!

I'm not sure about bars round the stadium. The metro stations there are for the university, but it's just a campus I think, not like our Unis...I doubt there's any there knowing France.

You'd definitely be better off staying in the city to watch it on TV, there's bars in the Old Town (like the Oz bar) and the centre which will show it, and the Irish pubs on Solferino. When it's a Lille match especially, a lot of places dust their tellies off and make an effort too, so it should be on in enough places. Ask people in the street where you can watch LOSC (call it "losk" not Lille) and they'll know.

The metro to the ground and back is like 30 mins tops, so you'd be back before kick off anyway.

Yeah you can buy tickets on the gate for the home end if there are any, but I guess you'd have to be French or do a good impression... again, not sure.

I've asked an ST holder mate what he thinks it will be like for us in the home end, getting in, trouble etc - waiting for him to get back to me on facebook.

Thank you for this appreciate it, let me know what he says.

Secondly, do you have any trustworthy French friends? Want to buy the three game Lille package tomorrow but I can't from an English server, would obviously pay them, then they can send them on?

In the processes of booking. Coaches all the way. Heading down on the Wednesday night, getting to Lille for noon, doing Lille stuff all day, going the game (hopefully) and then quite possibly doing "Rue Solferino" after, if it's decent on a thursday and we can be arsed. Mate's booking the hotel so I don't know which one we're staying at. Coach back at half 1 one the friday.

Going to be quite the trip. Couldn't afford a season ticket this year and with the huge demand, I doubt we'll get tickets in the Everton end, barring us getting a monster allocation.

It's literally the same every night, so don't worry about that, just a bit harder to get in places on the weekend cos there's more people. So you'll be fine. :)

Me and a mate are getting the overnight bus from London-Lille on weds (get to lille at 6am Thursday) & then again night bus back on Thursdy night. Get in to London at 5am on Friday and then struggle though friday at work means we only have to take a day off & no need for Hotels, will be knackering I know. Bus was £51 return.
snap, was going to drive, but not risking it

50p

Theyre gonna mint a special 1 of me on the megabus to mark the occasion

Just another update - a guy from Lille has been on and said the low attendances are because the middle ring of the stadium is like Club Wembley, so often empty...so the Lille home sections are more full that we've been thinking...

I've updated the top of the thread.
