I'll be seeking out some of the more budget grub myself.... Kebabs in France are quite good compared to the holes and tendons we call Doner.

Not really of use to everyone, but if you've got a student card and have time to kill around st pancras, wander over to UCL in Bloomsbury and get wired into the booze there, its so, so much cheaper than anywhere nearby.

Inter-hotel Ascotel - couple of minutes from the ground (although it looks like there is a big road in the way!) and the metro 'Cite Scientifique'
Am driving down from South Manchester overnight Wednesday to arrive in Lille early Thursday, then leaving mid-morning Friday. Will have a couple of places if anyone interested
