not bothered with that result...if we are going to beat them, then I want to outplay them in every aspect....not just scrape a win against a side who didn't seem to give that much of a sh1t anyway....Gerrard/Coutinho/Jags all even MoM contenders for me......btw nice job on the blue flares....it should be our thing in the future!

''For the first time in 28 years liverpool go a full season without beating a member from the top four or Everton. '',

James Woodcock: "EFC were poor, no imagination or craft aside from lump it to Fellaini or Anichebe - at least LFC tried to play football."

haha i must have missed the part where liverpool tried to play

Guess he missed Gerrard's constant long ball throughout the match. Thought we played the better football but we were crap in the final third. Both teams were poor to be honest

...I can recall Wayne Clarke (I think) scoring a far post header in the same net many years ago and that was ruled out for no apparent reason. Times don't change.......

I won't be at all unhappy to take Chelsea's money and ship Fellaini off this summer. I really don't think he cares much at all about the club. With him lazing about and Chebe back to his worst, it's no surprise we couldn't create. Pienaar and co struggled with the final ball, but there was zero effort in front of them.

Jags and Distin were incredible. Can't really think of another good Everton player today. Had the ref not done the usual, then the two of them could have claimed to have beaten Liverpool themselves.

Not related in any way but amazing nonetheless:

Erm let me see. Try. Are you saying because he got injured against them last time means he is allowed to put in that standard of performance. I would like to think he has more bottle than that. Crazy thinking if you are saying your allowed to play ****e because you got injured last time out. Take a cold shower davek and shake your head

I'm not asaying he's allowed to play badly I'm saying if he's dived once or twice you can undersatnd him getting a bit of back off them for the injury last time.

I'd like to think we can measure ourselves by a higher yardstick.

Finishing above one of the worst Liverpool sides in years isn't a brilliant achievement in my eyes. I'm pleased, of course, but I won't apologise for wanting a bit more than that.

It was yet another weak, limp performance at Anfield from us. The game was there to be won and yeah, the goal should have stood, but there was a real lack of asserting ourselves upon the game. Players just wandering about in midfield, sideways passing not going anywhere. It's not like there was even much pressure on us. Distin and Jagielka's excellence excepted, it was business as usual in an Anfield derby.

Defence: good
Attack: rubbish

Bollocks. Our players got stuck in and threw themselves at everything that was thrown at them. It was anything but weak and limp. Complaints about the lack of quality in the striking department should be laid at the door of the boardroom.
