From a Liverpool point of view it's near as good as it could have possibly been. Kuyt has been poor this season and is not much of a threat at all any more, and Bellamy is one of our best players but isn't ever expected to start because of his fitness. Adam got dropped for Spearing which is the biggest change and a huge relief.
 
Looking at each line-up I think we're actually quite well equipped to deal with them. They really should have played someone threatening on the right to go at Baines. Kuyt could have done that. We should get joy going forward against Kelly on the left and Hibbert should shackle Downing. Huge pressure on Rodwell to match Gerrard. And Straq is a key player for us. He's had a rest so should be gunning. He needs to show some quality though. He won't get many chances.
 
Just proves the cup is our priority. Can't argue with it. I doubt any of us expect anything more than a point.

We have massive game on Saturday. I could not give a flying flip about tonight, a half fit Coleman, anichebe and Jags prove moyes doesn't either.

We can go above Liverpool tonight.

If you can know that and then consciously not put out your best line up then you deserve to be questioned.

Not to mention how this really is the biggest league fixture of the season for us blues, whether some like to admit it or not. Settling for anything less than our best is not good enough.
 
We have pace and strength upfront which is perfect for this game. Liverpool certainly wouldn't have expected it.

The only issue I have is with anichebe but like someone has said he will be upfront because he wouldn't break the pienaar anichebe partnership.

He hasn't put Neville in midfield people, cheer up!!!

**** saturday, we're playing in the derby tonight! If you really don't care about that then log off.
 

holy **** has moyes been celebrating ten years in charge early and had to much champers, As I think the bubbles have gone to his head!! Not won under moyes in 10 years best opportunity to do so and he drops our best centre half and wheels in the subs??? ,madness
 
one plus point, liverpool wont have been expecting that, bluefox called anichebe playing earlier in the week..
