personally i would keep Drenthe in the mix - even when he is doing nothing he stretches their defence becuase they have to keep an eye on him. He scares defences i think, he scares most of us in fact. i think if he plys it open the midle of defence up and gives more space to our midfielders to come through.

im still unsure, it was half and half, but im on about the yellow card about to come out till gerrard has a nice little "send him off clattenburg" word with the ref and the yellow goes back into the pocket and the red comes out incident

The issue is not that a red was given ffs. If the ref blows for a freekick and pen (even though Gerrard dived but whatevs) then the right descision is a red card. What we're so pissed about (still) is the fact the ref was going to give a yellow until Gerrard whsipered in his ear. Still fuming to this day over that match.

yeah that was idiotic, but however you look at it hibbert prevented a goal scoring opportunity(if you concede it was a foul) and it should have been a red card

i know, i know...refs are often influenced by players actions,it was just a bit more obvious in this case! i think worse things have happened(in that game even) people jump on this cos its more obvious

That challenge from Kuynt would have been one of the worst I've ever seen in the game if it had connected. It was ridiculous. The second penalty shout was especially clear cut, too.
