Player Valuation: £150m

That looks like a nightmare scenario unfolding for Gillett and Hicks: Huang's sports trust pays up the debt's of the club - directly negotiating with the bank and leaving the current owners with just their (£100M?) holding in the club to sell off.

I doubt H&G will be outmanoeuvered like this, though. The Syrian 'deal' they're working on has to be seen to it's conclusion under the conditions of the loan extension they gained with RBS and, as the article suggests, they'll eek that out until the transfer window closes, which will cool the interest of this Chinese consortium.

Ideal scenario will be H&G see this takover off and sell Torres to pay for any debt that may be called in by the bank in the autumn.

In H&G we trust.

We'll never see their likes again. True folk heroes.

Doubt they will do it for so little profit, that Chinese cat is playing a boss game though, making it public so H&G will now have the burden of thousands of utter bellends pressuring them into selling up.

It will go tits up with this lid too if he takes over, there is defo war crimes and bad things done to humanoids in his name somewhere.

That was comical to listen to: Radio Merseyside interview with former LFC Echo correspondent, Tony Evans (now with The Times). He was nearly crying calling LFC Chairman, Martin Broughton, 'Pontius Pilot'...washing his hands of responsibility to force Gillett and Hicks to accept the Chinese consortium deal to buy the club debt. Gillett and Hicks are playing a blinder now: they've got six bids from somewhere for the club (none were registered prior to the Chinese offer as of last week when Huang tabled his bid!!). They'll just snow the Huang proposal over with this 'interest' until it goes away and they can sell at their leisure for a mega deal when all LFC games go online in the near future.

It makes the Fortress Sports Fund caper look like amateur night.

All Hail Gillett and Hicks. (y)

He went to NYU with one of the owners lad(s) don't know which one.

The thing is, after you've eaten a chinese, you could have another an hour later. Where are they going to find another daft chink to take his place in such a short space of time. Looking forward to this collapsing round their ears. RS supporters round work are strangely quiet all of a sudden, heavenly isn't it...........:D:D:D
