Liverpool to get a new Chairman

I so hope they fall back down the hole that Shankly dragged them out of, their delusional mentality knows absolutely no bounds "ah , well be rid of dem yanks cos they've said they'll sell, and we don't need to repay RBS now, dat's all shortid". Then you point out that in the refinancing package the yanks have got back their initial stake and lumped that debt onto the club so it's now 300mill,"yeah, but we'll get a buyer" errrr, not for 600 feckin' mill you won't. Then they stand catching flies as they never realised that dem der yanks want so much.

A nice little spell between now and the end of the season, in the same vein as what has preceded it so far, and their arses will be flapping like a tent door in a gale.

This could be 1 of the greatest shows on earth, and fans the length and breadth of this land will rejoice. Non euro qual would be more catastrophic for them that it was to the barcodes when they got relegated.

Reidy

Every day I'm intending to stick the boot in. They've had it coming for years.

What you've highlighted with dis dem here Yanks and the delusional - belief that like the banks they think themselves too big to fail and that they've got a god given right to handouts to stop them failing... totally undermines the principle of "sport".

Every day I'm just going to wait on the latest bit of news and use it with innuendo to hit home.

My my how they crowed over Benfica. It shows how things have changed alone... fear.

They fear what they can now see.

Gerrard's Law: The level of cheating (diving, elbowing, kicking, pushing, pulling) is directly proportional to the level of desperation (poor results, debt and future failure) that Liverpool FC finds itself in

Mathematically expressed as:

Cheating = G (Desperation)^2 x [Liverpool Football Club]

Where G = Gerrard Constant otherwise known as the "cheating constant" (the sum of Gerrard + Carragher + Liverpool XI ... n)

just read a guardian article about footbal and socialism or something and again the comments made my day.

Someone is laying the blame at Moores door, something I have been expecting as it was him that chose to sell to 'dem der yanks' but not so much fo selling to them, more that he undervalued the club at 300 mill which enabled them to buy it, and he should've sold it for it's true value of 600 mill at the time. Also something about 'the rag' being the top seller that adidas have worldwide, and far outselling r.madrid soi that means they are bigger and worth more. The delusion is endemic now, and it would take the club taking their s.t. money then not letting them have their tickets to make most snap out of it.

Yeah I posted that guardian article on another thread.

Apparently in Davek's Echo article someone mentions the fact that they're selling 1/2 season tickets. Along the lines of "1/2 season tickets NO!" (y)

And did you notice they were selling "All Red" club memberships and offering 12 months free if they bought in January/Feburary?

Hints at DESPERATION for cash then......

But the latest talk of selling the club has purely come about as a result of the looking unlikely to get 4th. Huge hole in their finances now. Hence the Yanks are off....

Well they think so but as Davek says it looks likely to drag on and on and on and on :D

That lot have this belief that somehow someone's gonner come in and they're going to spend another £100m in the summer....

They've spent £250m already now they want more!

This clown Benitez has no class. A 'huge' game against Fulham and he is in the morning papers yet again whingeing and moaning about needing players and money. But the master manipulater doesn't ask directly - he quotes Torrres and Carragher! This man causes trouble every where he goes. Now he is talking about selling world class players to finance new players. Sell Torres or Gerrard to buy the Dossenas, Aqualanis, Johnsons, Lucass of this world? As he has sole control of transfers he could do it as well. THAT IS A VERY FRIGHTENING THOUGHT FOR OUR CLUB. Shame on all you IRWT muppets who still sing his name, still say he will get 4th. This man should be treated the same way as he treated Dudek, Alonso, Crouch, Keane.

SACK THE CLOWN NOW, IMMEDIATELY, AND MAKE HIM THE FIRST EVER LIVERPOOL MANAGER TO BE SACKED DURING A SEASON. HE DESERVES THAT HUMILIATION FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE TO OUR CLUB.

(y) I love it.

Everton are the pride of Merseyside. Liverpool are the joke of Merseyside. (y)

This was my favourite from 'Boatman':

"How can it be in the clubs best interests to give them Six more months, the only people this will benefit is the banks and the yanks. They had up until last year to sort this, the banks gave them another year? now they are reported to be giving them another 6 months. Will someone please tell me how this helps us. No money for transfers, cant sort out a new manager, takes us into next season. what a disgrace. We should be asked? well corect me if I wrong but we own 70% of the bank as taxpayers, and we we are supporters. Nothing short of a disgrace."

It wuz the banks!!!

Are these banks based in the Chelsea area????

IT. WAS. CHELSEA.

I hope you're enjoying this as much as me Davek. I'm going to stick the snidey boot in loads.

The club who's manager called Everton small, and the fans who claim "always in our shadow"... they deserve it like.
