Unbelievable abuse by Kilbane. Much like the majority of his performances - simply unbelievable.
What's this?
Yeah I saw Roberts on that! The guy's an idiot. He did two derbys in a day, ours then the Arse Spurs one. Gerrard got booked for cupping his ear to the crowd, Kilbane mentioned he had been getting tonnes of abuse from that stand (which Kilbane was in) all game so it was Gerrard getting some digs in in return. The big faced tit hosting suggested it was all Kilbane responsible for the abuse and he agreed. Roberts yesterday on final score was funnier by accident, suggesting Pelle wont score a better goal so should take the ball and go to the dressing room and write a letter to his ma explaining hes giving up football because he'll never do anything better.
That is since the Premier league. Wayne Clarke scored one in 1988.
Brendan can try all he wants to win the after match propaganda war. It was the same after the 3-3 last year when they all tried to make out they were the better team.
At least we are honest in saying we were poor. But if that was one of their best performances of the season then they must have been diabolical in the others. The facts are that at home, against a defense containing Tony Hibbert, they managed one decent chance from open play in 90 minutes. Not good enough. We had more possession and arguably dangerous chancrs of our own with Baines and Mcgeady getting in, and Lukaku with his missed header.
We shoukd have had a pen, so should they, their free kick wasnt a foul. Neither team looked like scoring ftom open play so it took a set piece and a wonder goal. Two average sides slugging it out, neither desrrved to win. One group of fans can acceot it, the other deluded bunch have to spend weeks in every media outlet telling anyone who will listen how they dominated, they missed chance after chance, plucky Everton snatched a point blah blah blah.
Truth is it was the easiest defensive performance of our season. Leicester, West Brom and Palace caused us more problems, and we had Coleman, Mirallas Piennar and Barkley, 4 first teamers missing. Ultimately the onus was on them being at home and they came up with nothing but a Gerrard free kick. Not good enough. They shoukd be looking at theirselves like we are. Instead Brendan is just bothered about making sure everyone still thinks they're better than us.
