I thought we played well and am not despondent at all. But I think we are better than how we play. Personally, I would fine any Everton player that plays any ball off the grass (excepting GK and crosses into the box)
I am much more optimistic now that we will not be relegated...as long as we play proper football

Game plan worked. Pickford didn’t have a save to make and just made a bad decision to go for that corner.

....we were competitive but still lack the quality. The Allardyce haters will blame Allardyce because they hate Allardyce but the substitutions were positive, we lack creativity and wow up top. Delighted to see Sigurdsson playing that central role.

Jagielka was excellent. VvD the difference, he’s a monster of a man and once Pickford misjudged that cross he was always going to win the header.
