I grew up during the war. There was no organised professional football, so though we enjoyed playing (at every waking moment) we didn't know anything about supporting a team. One of the lads we played football with was quite a bit older than me and my brother. He had seen Everton games before the war and used to tell us about various matches he had seen. He threatened to beat us up if we didn't support Everton, which we happily did. We moved away from Liverpool in 1951 so never saw the lad again. I know he served in the Army in Korea. I would love to meet him again to thank him for making us support the best team ever in football. What a lucky escape! as when football started again after the war we found out that our Dad supported Liverpool.

I hate to say it but this current RS side is one of the best teams in world football, yet we more than matched them.

I wouldn't be remotely surprised if we finished in the top 4 next season.

We can't get away from the fact that they were in OUR penalty area in the 97th minute.

Why was it not US putting them under pressure?

Listening to the match on radio Murkeyside, there was just a sense of impending and tragic inevitability about it all.

Lets not forget they could bring on Sturridge and Origi from the bench whereas we have Tosun and Calvert Lewin.

Origi is miles ahead of both of those which is why we need a top quality centre forward in Janaury.

Behave. His goal scoring record is far worse than both players. He is pretty quick and a strong runner with the ball at his feet, but if he already played for us I guarantee you'd be at the front of the queue wanting to get rid of him.

Just my opinion mate, not saying he's great but his attributes are much more suited to the league than either DCL or Tosun.

His goal scoring record is awful mate, worse than either Tosun or DCL, and that's saying something. And you said he was miles ahead of them aswell.

I stated in a previous post some thingwhich has a bearing on your comment.

For me Silva made a tactical error in the 89th minute taking Siggy off and putting Zouma. This left a gap in midfield and by putting a defender on more or less invited them to come at us, and the to-ime added to the 5!!
