It's really difficult, mate. We are a good side and we should give every team a game bar an off day but the top 6 just have a bit more than us right now.

We need the likes of Richarlison to develop into match winners in these games. It's a huge ask for players like him to get to that level but he is capable.

Yes I agree with all of that mate. The reality is we are currently below all of the top 6 teams on ability. We have the potential to overtake/catch some of them if our players continue to develop (generally having a younger team than them). Part of this process will have to involve beating them home and at times away. We will know we are ready to make the next step up when the team can do that.

I don't think club always get better all the time. Chelsea to me look a club with the law of ever decreasing returns. United look all of the shop currently. Spurs are solid but not massively spectacular and could face problems if Pochetino goes. I would concede Arsenal and City appear strong. If you look at Klopp at both Mainz and particularly Dortmund you will also see he's reaching his peak currently, and there is quite a substantial drop off in the next season or 2 anticipated. I don't see Liverpool indefinitely improving either.

Well by continue to get better I mean try and get better by spending millions and millions of quid.

But by the same rule that not everyone will continue to get better we probably won’t either then.

We are right now but who knows when this will peak.

I just don’t see us as going there and doing anything. Yet.

We could fluke it of course and I’d happily take that!

I don't think we are quite good enough right now to go there and win. It would be unbelievable if we could go there and get a win but it's not going to define our season.

Point is a good result for us. Feel sorry for people expecting more because it's a massive ask and you're begging to be let down.

We aren't some nothing game for them where they could take their eye off the ball and let us come away with a win.

Walcott is under pressure to keep his place, but I wonder how his form was playing against them for Arsenal. He must have played in wins and maybe
had particularly good games personally.

I have to say, Mr Klopp had some very complimentary things to say about us. Talking extremely highly of Pickford, Mina, Digne, Richarlison... and we'd be a European team in any league in Europe. Now let's smash um and prove him right.
