Liverpool v Newcastle

Who do you want to win the hypothetical League Cup?

They are absolutely deluded. Precedent was set when konate basketballed the ball away from Beto and it was fine.

Joelintons was likely a yellow, but clearly they don’t know the rules. Var could only get the ref to give a red, which is wasn’t, so they couldn’t.

Only surprise is they didn’t get a scabby pen for one of Van Dicks pathetic dives.

They said Chelsea caused Heysel.

THAT'S the mentality you're dealing with here.

They never accept any responsibility for anything. It's always someone else's fault.

It's a sick organisation that should never have been allowed to exist after they took lives in Belgium. The whole world knows it. The British media have merely rehabilitated them in the eyes of British people, the rest of the world still hates them.

There was a telling comment made by Mark Chapman with the pundits before the game.

Les Ferdinand said something about the difference in the fans of Liverpool and Newcastle and the passion of the Geordies.

Chapman’s response was along the lines of “good luck on social media after saying that”.

My favourite bit (as the goal meant nothing) was for a full 3 seconds after allowing the goal Darwin Nunez's face was baffled. They managed to score and he still misses it.

I didn’t think I was bothered about who was going to win this but 5 mins in the city yesterday morning to see full Kit ‘individuals’ wandering about and asking directions soon disabused me of that notion .

Despite the horse punchers winning I thoroughly enjoyed that result yesterday , you have to enjoy the small victories in life and it’s been a pleasant week .

The thing about watching the Geordies at the final whistle yesterday was just pure passion. Not some diluted passion that’s border line manufactured passion, just raw emotion.

The game is starved of this in the modern era and I know it’s the goerdies who I don’t like but it was good to see, especially as it was at the expense of the most manufactured fan base in the world.

So for once it actually put a little smile on my face to see Eddie Howe, Dan Burn and the crowd go mental at the end!

In all honesty, if you can't enjoy winning a trophy, especially one after such a long wait, then you don't get sport.

If it was Everton winning something, I'd be going so mental that I'd be open to ridicule on redcafe or whatever the kopite forum is called - and I wouldn't give two hoots.
