Robbies all right, myself i think Yak is a better payer and i have seen him live on more then 60 occasions. I think he could go the same way as Bellamy and Crouch to be honest, he will go nuts under the rotation system over there.

All they've done is replace Crouch - who I always thought was sorely underutilised by them - with a different type of forward but one that is quite similar in style to Voronin, Kuyt & Babel.

They have less options now if they need to change their attacking approach in matches.

Also - those fullbacks they've bought are [Poor language removed].

I diddn't see any one else clamering to sign him. I think he's a good player, but he's nothing special. Not by a long way!!

An 19m for a player that will be 29 soon.

I'm not banking on us doing anything. You dismiss out of hand that we will struggle to get into the top six;

I say that the clubs I have mentioned above have good teams and good managers and will no doubt strengthen before the start of the campaign. It is not stretching it much to suggest that without us strengthening in the weakest areas of our squad we could struggle to beat them.

I just want us to improve and am worried we are not going to move forward.

Oh, and I'm not on a wind-up, just decided that I wanted to start posting rather than just reading for a change.

I don't think anybody is dismissing anything to be fair. I think we have a great chance to finish in the top 6 again this year and with a bit of luck maybe even the top 4. Not a definite but a great chance.

That statement basically says that IF we do not buy then we will struggle but it is a definite that other clubs WILL buy and buy well. IF this happens then we will struggle, bit obvious but there you go.

So what do you think will happen IF we buy 4 players (No names mentioned just 4 random players in the positions that we need). By how much does that increase our chances of competing well in the top 6 (IF we are going to include luck in the equation)

Apart from the fact we finished fourth with our smallest squad in years, selling one of our best players! Do you really think any of us have more then an iota of knowledge about the game then Moyes!

If I was in charge we'd have been so good no-one would want to play us for fear of a damn good thrashing.

I will have you know that I took Everton to the Champions League final in 1998.......Oh wait that wasn't real, that was Championship Manager........Carry on, good point.

Its sad but I have to agree. They are both incredible finishes and can make goals out of nothing.

Torres is not an 'incredible' finisher, IMO. He wasted lots of chances both last season for Liverpool and in Euro 2008 for Spain. It's his speed and movement that make him a good player.

...and I didn't think Liverpool played 4-4-2 either?

They won't, Keane'll play in the hole and Gerrard will move back into central mid with Mascherano - leaving 30m+ worth of Alonso, Benayoun & Lucas sitting on their arses depreciating.

Smart move Rafael.
