Being both a Londoner and a person who likes to say good morning and afternoon to strangers in the street, I agree that London can seem an unhospitable place. However, Central London is one thing and Greater London, from where I, and most of us Londoners are from, is another. Central London is full of commuters and tourists.London as a city is like a tory. It takes what it can, thinks only of itself and thinks the world is fine so long as London looks good. No wonder you don't like it.
Was dragged there by the missus at the weekend, to the Albert Hall. Great venue obviously (apart from the dreadful acoustic) but the city is just full of people who look right through you as if you don't exist- unless you're paying the bill of course. Hateful place.
