Is there a thread for this? If not anyone interested in it? Loved LOTR both books and films and am excited to see what they do with this.

nonfiction history,
There really shouldn't be any other type ...
That's really not as clever of a response as you think lol
If anything it just exposes how unread you are.

Neither do I, too.Don't mean this in a condescending way.... I liked the movies when that came out 20 yrs ago or so when I was 12. I'm sure the books are great but I pretty much only read nonfiction history, so I've never dedicated the time to them.
I was not even aware they were making something on Amazon Prime for them. I usually enjoy the cinematography, sets, the natural landscapes they use in these "fantasy" (is the the genre isn't almost all TV fantasy?) movies and shows.
I'm terrified of flying. I can deal with it to get Europe or Cali from NY. I don't think I'll ever make it to NZ so these shows do it for me.
Do people generally have high expectations for this?
Same, though i cancelled amazon a while back as i thought its content was a bit crap. I'll wait and see what the general consensus is on this and will renew if it seems like watching. What an odd bunch of responses, I'm looking forward to it... Hopefully it's good
