Wouldn't read too much into it. We're likely to lean on the players already at the club for the first few games.

Throwing in new players (especially those new to the league) straight away does more to undermine them. He'll be the starting left back for the majority of this season but he'll be phased in like the rest results permitting.
 
I saw a rumour the other day (can't remember where) that he had picked up a little knock in training and would be out 2 weeks.
 


Update on Digne
Reliably informed that Lucas Digne has picked up a slight injury and that is why he is not involved today. Expected, at this stage, he will be fit for next weekend’s game with Bournemouth.

Ha Ha. I was informed of that two days ago. Well in the Echo.
 
So digne and mina have already been injured, gomes came over here injured, Bernard didn't have a pre season and Zouma hadn't played a pre season game. Everton that.

One red card and one injury in the first two games to boot.
 

Seen him signing loads of autographs and have photos before the game in the family enclosure. Top man . Walcotts family were in the box by the park end and main stand . She is better looking in person .
