I am just saying that i saw him play more than 50 times (not because i have "too much spare time", only because i m French and PSG fan) and you guys will be disappointed by Digne.

I don't understand how can you argue when you never saw him play one minute, moreover you judge him because he played in PSG, Barca and Roma.

I have no idea if he is good or not. He is someone I’ve actually heard of, unlike the guy at Leverkusen. I was having a bit of a joke as people are clamouring for tierney (who would cost more and has played at a much lower level than Digne) for Kenedy who isn’t even a left back, or someone from Leverkusen who most people won’t have heard of unless they regularly watch german football.

I’d rather spend 15-18m on someone who has been deemed good enough to be signed by Barca, PSG and Roma then overspend on someone who I’ve never heard of. Also, I trust the management and scouts as it’s actually their job to have watched these players.

With due respect replacing Baines properly is a tall order. If there is a left back ready for the Prem available at fair market value we have to consider a move.

because i assume we'd be phasing Baines out, and giving Digne a shot to prove himself to be a steady LB? my guess at least.

Not really judging, but I would wonder how much they can know about individual players some of whom are not even regulars for their clubs like the two at Barca.
It is the full time job of Marcel Brands who has a team of scouts working with him to identify and assess players which seems a bit of a waste of time and money when most of the information is here already.

And I can tell you’ve never watched one minute of 33 year old Baines or indeed the man we had impersonating a left back for half of last season when he was injured.

Well Digne has played regularly for Lille, PSG and Roma so hardly surprising people have seen him. Can get Brazilian football on BT as well.
