thought he was class, looked like a younger Baines with the ball. no idea why people having a go at Baines when all he is done is get older, if Digne is half the player Baines was in his prime then we have some player on our hands

Was MOTM for me yesterday, with apologies to DCL.

Comfortable on the ball, two-footed, got forward and beat his man on a couple of occasions, once in the first half with a lovely little dink over their player’s head.

Looked a bit exposed when long balls where played towards him and he didn’t win enough aerial battles; think some teams would target him on this and look to exploit him with a taller winger up against him.

But very good, should start Saturday for me.

Certainly worth a try. Morgan has shown signs of life in the last few games though so Baines on the bench as cover for both LB and DM may prolong his Everton career.

..he grasped the opportunity to impress. When he signed I thought he was a class act and i’m sure it’s only a matter of time before he’s a regular starter.

Had a word with him after the game and he said that he was partly inspired by my sponsorship of him and that with my backing he felt he could perform to his absolute maximum.

I don't want to big myself up here, but I like to think I've essentially solved our LB issues for the next 5 years at least.

Very impressive full debut.

He looked fairly small but stood up to the physical side of the game well.

His control and distribution were excellent and is very two footed with an excellant cross with his "wrong" foot fot DCL's first goal.
