Given his injury, I don't want to be unfair to him. I just don't rate him as a defender. The plaudits he gets are always for his offensive play, his crosses, his attacking overlaps, etc. Nobody raves about his ability to blot a player out of a game, his body-on-the-line defending, or his tackling. I think he's a good player overall - but we need to push him further up the pitch if he's to play. We have better defenders than him.

Absolutely not an option. We already have too many midfielders that can't run.

Well, I definitely wouldn't play him at the back. I don't think he reads the game well enough defensively.

Neither does Trent AA for example, but he's a full back in the same way Digne is. We simply have to compensate for his lack of defensive ability using other players in future. A midfield that can run to shield our back 4 would be a start in this regard.

Needs to be 352 going forward he's a LWB not a LB.

Our defence can not play as a back 4 with him and Coleman.
Today, i agreed with the three at the back shout.

At home against teams like Newcastle etc it can work. Need pace in the back 3 but it would push the entire team up the pitch.

Away, keep to the formula that has been working with the flat four or at least three of them in there.
