You’re both saying it was natural like you can’t anticipate what the opposing player is doing, have either of you ever played football? All because he didn’t rake the back of the lads leg doesn’t excuse it. Bottom line if that happens to one of our players people are going mad. The fact he chased the man down and made no attempt to get the ball should tell you he knew what he was doing.

If these sort of "collisions" are accidental then they'd be happening 100 times a match seeing how close players run behind each other.

He went to do him...and did.

Exactly mate, his moaning about it and not apologising to the lad for losing his head annoyed me as much as the tackle

I turned off at half time. It was like watching last season's performances. Always knew our early season position was a false one, so not too surprised here. Anyway, we still haven't addressed the fast, one touch football most of the other teams in the Top flight have mastered. Most of our players seem to slow the ball down rather than play it at pace.

Wasted Sunday afternoon watching that dirge. Can't wait for work tomorrow........

Club needs to appeal this and get it rescinded,
While they're at it they need to address big red and their mates campaign against us in the media as that's what made the refs mind up there,
Obviously dirty Everton trying to end players

Some on here love to say “have you ever played football” or pretend they can second guess what is happening in the heat of the moment during a match played at 100x the speed they will have ever played at.

If you give a red card against a player who has his hands in the air displaying that he is clearly not trying to challenge the attacking player from behind then where does it stop. It’s a yellow for being clumsy and cynically bringing him down and nothing more.

Some on here love to hammer one of the best players to join our club in the last 10 years and it’s that kind of mentality that has seen our team make the best start in years WITHOUT a crowd behind them, it is no fluke that has happened this year!

Today has been poor but we are top of the league and will go again

Apologising as he's doing it. Knew exactly what he was doing. His acting skills need more work.

How does putting your hands in the air make you exempt from receiving a red card?
