I doubt that gets rescinded - it was needless and he's left us another key player down for the next 3.

I dont care how good a player someone is if they are costing us points with silly tackles, mistakes, petulance, laziness they deserve hammering.

Maybe if they put in the same fight Saints did today we would have gotten something out the game.

totally agree that it won’t get rescinded or even reduced and I agree that we were out fought by Saints today.

However I do not think it is a red personally but it is what it is now. We need to bounce back against Newcastle

Interesting that your knowledge of playing against your local postie has led you to this conclusion when Redknapp and Dyer both said it is never a red card.

What do two international footballers know?

They are both idiots then. If that isn't a red then players will start going out standing on achilles and claim "accident" every time.

If someone is running behind James next game and snaps his achilles meaning he's out all season it won't be a red in your eyes then? You'd be livid.

The first couple of angles I saw it, was furious looked like he’d definitely tripped the guy and ended up standing on his achilles. Then from third angle looks like it was clearly an accident. My God we’d be getting out of jail if it’s rescinded - a left hand side absent Ritchie and Digne for 3 games would be a massive blow.

I would be livid if James did his Achilles but let’s not let hypotheticals get in the way of what actually happened.

In no way shape or form did Digne mean to catch him so while you say players can claim it was an accident, this actually was an accident and should have been a yellow for being clumsy and nothing more

You are a miserable son of a gun mate.

If its clearly an accident then yes it wont be a red. It's so blatently not intentional. If Digne was intending to foul why wouldn't he just trip him up and take the yellow? No logic to it whatsoever.

The first replay I saw it looked a shocker.
Now I’m not so sure.

Hope it gets recinded for us.

I think he definitely went to do him as he'd failed to do so just moments before. You see it differently.
