When Diaz left Colombia he played primarily at LW or as a second striker. More recently, Porto have played him as a LWB in a 352 and it has allowed him to cover the whole left flank which he has a great set of lungs for. He wears fullbacks out with his work rate and protects the ball well with a defender on his back (he did this particularly well when Porto took out Juve from the CL).
In terms of players he reminds me of - maybe a more street ball version of a young Spurs Bale on the left? Really direct, a lot of iso ball and has a knack for scoring goals very close to the keeper where others would shoot at feet - he had an amazing goal on Emi Martinez at the Copa from point blank while falling out of bounds that was remarkable.
The watch out would be that the speculation has been he would move to Italy with interest from Roma (Mourinho supposedly a fan) and a CL team there. If it's Juve, I could see him choosing them to continue playing CL ball.

I really hope he doesn’t end up in Roma under Mourinho’s command. He tends to damage Colombian players when under him. It happened with Cuadrado and more recently with Davison Sanchez who is finally gaining his form again in Tottenham.

Agreed. If the Italian mystery team is Juve though the chance to play with Dybala and C4 in CL could be compelling though.
In general, I rate Mourinho right up there with Benitez at randomly making great players look awful.
