He already traveled and had his first training with Colombia in Bolivia.

Sassy, what in the name of the sweet lord are they doing in La Paz days before the game? You gotta train in the east and fly to La Paz two hours before the game, even better if you have stayed in Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

I know Colombia is mountainous but most of your guys play in Europe and have lost the altitude conditioning.

Obviously, Bolivia are not good but I dont understand the logic being used by Colombia here

That's exactly what they are doing. They won't make the flight upto La Paz from Santa Cruz till Thurs.

So Porto need money but won’t sell Diaz to us and nobody else is prepared to pay them what they want

That is an interesting conundrum

Wonder what year they teach this module in business school
It's called deal-making. You wait for as long as you can to force the other parties hand.

I am confident that this one will happen late.

Argie, they are not in La Paz they are actually in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, our coach knows well that training in La Paz would be detrimental to the players physicality. But it seems you are as knowledgeable as Rueda. Have you considered coaching? ;) x

You think we have a good chance to get him.?

This whole mess is down to CONMEBOL shoehorning a Copa in over the summer when the pandemic was still (and still is) fierce in South America.

The vast majority of players didn't want it and many pointed out the fact they should be playing the World Cup qualifiers instead.

I just had a quick look back over the years and the Copa scheduling is all over the place time wise. (01, 04, 07, 11, 15, 16, 19, 21) How can it be so disorganised?
I totally agree BJN. Conmebol should have cancelled Copa and concentrate on just the qualifying matches but they are a greedy organization like many involved with football and they had to make their money out of that Cup. I don't think they are disorganized they are greedy.
