Lukaku. Yes or no

As stupid as the interview was, at least he was being honest and had something interesting to say. I wish more players were like that.

Nobody likes cliches like: 'it's a team effort, I scored thanks to the team', 'we keep on until the end of the season', 'it aint over until the fat lady sings', 'we need to show pashun'.

As much as I like Rom, he has form for this kind of stuff.
Yes, and it's been the main topic on ESPN this week, a show that I've been watching for years.

It's taken this to make me realise that they only ever talk about half a dozen clubs in the Premier League because they've never
once mentioned that he did this all the time when he was away on International breaks towards his later time at Everton.

Because like it or not mate, we are not a mainstream club any more, if he was doing the same at espanyol you wouldn’t hear much about it, Barca it would be all over the news.

he did this all the time at our gaff..... the outcry when he does one interview at Chelsea. Our fans were a disgrace for being as tolerant as they were to his constant disrespect. For a player who can't control a ball he doesnt half rate himself.

We are a mainstream club, because we're always in the top flight and have never been a yo-yo club. Just not recognised as such in some areas of the media.
We like to believe it, but these days we aren’t and that’s a sad fact that some people can’t take in.

We are a “big big” club historically, and to the proper football fans that’s what matters, we are a proper club. But to this new footballing world as shambolic and and phoney as it it, we are not what in boxing you would call a “PPV fighter”.

I blame myself for getting involved in this 'big club, small club' conversation, but really, Man City and Chelsea until recently
were up and down like a brides nighty.

Awful in a big game, again
The inability to hold the ball up hasn’t really gone away from his game - chelsea needed him to give them time to get up the pitch and join him yet he seemed desperate to play 1/2 touch football whenever it came to him. Still a top notch striker but just not at that elite level

Offensively i thought Chelsea were terrible though, no ambition at all, they had numerous opportunities to get a cross in but instead chose to pass it backwards, sidewards anywhere but in the box. Lukaku fed on scraps, hardly any service at all. Since his latest outburst, which used to do my head in, his teammates seem reluctant to pass to him, care i say. I would have him back in our team tommorow.

You can tell why he wants to back to Italy, a league where strikers in the mid 30's the last 10-15 years since the Serie A's demise score goals for fun like Di Natale, Totti, Zlatan, Inzaghi, Dzecko etc etc.

It feeds his ego and delusion that he's World Class, bad first touch still, a flat track bully who wilts in big games for club and country.

He'd be great for us in our present situation but when we actually got to the point to kick on and to win something he would go MIA.
